Ok way less important than Hoss' PC issues but why don't PCI(NVMes and normal) SSDs come with screws by default? It's fucking stupid shit costs like nothing, but you can't really buy just one screw yourself. Got an additional SSD and figured I'd pop it in and then noticed there wasn't a 2nd screw in the box that I could find, assembled the PC over a year ago so might have forgotten where I put it but now I have to order a bunch of screws from Amazon and wait until that gets delivered to install it. No big deal since I'm not in a hurry(hell I bought this shit on Cyber Monday sale and I decided to unpack it just now) but it's pretty stupid that they don't just put generic screw+standoffs in their 100$+ boxes.

I probably still have screws for a case I bought in the 90's in a baggy of pc screws/oddities that weighs about 5lbs

I have all kinds of standard big screws, like case ones, motherboard to case ones, HDD/SDD mounting ones and all these but the M2 screws it's literally the first board I bought that has them(I generally only upgrade every 5years or so and PC before that was before those PCI SSDs were really a thing, if they even existed) so I only have just the screws I had with this motherboard. Mind you since I had to buy a full box of screws I'll have 9 left after I fix this shit, so I'm set for the future, just kinda stupid I think.

The heater will also cut down the humidity.

Maybe the ac unit is really a heat pump and it only looks like the ac is on.

The heater doesn’t remove the moisture in the air. It displaces it into other spots in the building. The Air Conditioner removes the humidity completely via condensation on its coils. Have an indoor sauna/hot tub, maybe a steam shower? A/C is recommended during the winter to prevent the inside of your windows frosting/fogging.

I'm going to forgive you for your obvious ignorance on how heat pumps work. All they do is reverse the cooling cycle. It still uses compressors and condensers and all that shit that actually traps and removes the moisture.

But you need to hunt down your high school chemistry teacher and slap her because she failed you. Hotter air can hold more water vapor. So whatever method you use to heat the house, as long as it doesn't involve boiling water, the humidity will go down even if the total amount of vapor stays the same. Relative humidity is the only thing you should care about.

The indoor sauna thing is an extreme case and a heat pump would do just as well as running the ac, but in that case you probably want the ac because it's going to get so hot just from the sauna.

Then you are lucky and I envy you because you pay less for electricity and are more likely to be able to cook and have heat when the power goes out.

But if you have an indoor sauna or steam bath, I guess you need to run the ac.

I'm traveling for work for a month. That means no wife and shitty Internet. I completely forgot to download any new porn. So I have subsist on the archives. I hate when I get halfway through a show and suddenly remember what happens next.
