Just played the demo and enjoyed it. Felt kinda button mashy but not too bad. The big monster battles feel kind of weird, but the visuals, story, and M rate stuff makes for a great FF game. I really hope there is exploring since the demo all felt like it was on rails.

Hmm no 1440/60fps on X? My pc is going to melt trying to run this game, but I’ll have to give it a go. I don’t even own an Xbox so buying one just to play this at 30fps seems dumb.

If you do the master sword dupe at the beginning of the game, that sword doesnt have durability decay does it? I need to try and do it.

I thought I read somewhere that Sony sold 600,000 PSVR2 units the first 6 weeks after release and was on a faster selling pace than PSVR1, which sold 1m the first 5 months and 5m lifetime.

I ended up picking up the game this morning. Costco has it for $59 and I couldn’t pass it up. Hopefully I hate the durability crap less than I did in BoW

I was going to jump in and say what about EverQuest, the ultimate open world game at the time, but I guess OOT came out 4 months before EQ. 🤔

How complicated is this to get up and running? I was planning to get it for the Switch but seeing it in 4K, and knowing I can disable weapon durability on the pc if I want, has got me interested.

Divine beasts were ok, but considering they were the dungeons for BoTW they were sorely lacking. I really missed full fledged dungeons we had grown accustomed to in Zelda games. The shrines were gimicky and boring, I agree with you there. I haven’t read much about TotK, are there shrines again...

stupid durability. I hated it in the first game. Make it an accessibility toggle or something, I don’t care just make it optional. Also, agree with Ut, Ninendo needs to go the way of Sega and just make the games. A 4K Zelda on PS5 would be a dream (or in vr on psvr2)

Yep. Walked into WalMart in high school and was happily surprised to see FF3 was there. $79.99 before tax which was a shit load of money to me as a high schooler in the 90’s. In today’s money that’s like $150+. I don’t get the complaints about $70 games these days either. Edit: to not derail...

How so? Once you set up your headset for the first time you can turn it and the console on and use it perfectly fine without even turning on the tv.

Doesn’t the MC comment when he enters a room with a moon? If it’s daytime just open the map and hit R3 (on ps5) to switch to night so you can collect it.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I might actually be enjoying this more than Elden Ring (and I loved ER and sunk over 150 hours into it). The story is so much easier to follow in HL, HL isn’t frustratingly difficult, at least not yet, and the setting is fantastic.

I never see loading screens in ps5. It’s just a black screen for a few seconds with a loading icon in the lower right corner.

Ok so what gives. The PS5 countdown timer hit 0, but when I click play the screen goes black for a moment then goes back to the PSN store Hogwarts page. Edit: solved. It was the beta console firmware. Reverted to the standard firmware and the game now launches.

Yeah, but at least you have it now. For us x90h users they “added” it as well, but it requires 2 of the major features to be disabled on the tv to do so, so it looks awful.
