I popped on to see what's going on outside the p1999 rants'n'flames. Average of 800 players during primetime and lots of players 1-30 have started up, so groups haven't been a problem. However, it's caused a major price inflation on the market. FBSS, Fungi Tunic, GEBs, all your favorite twink...

What else is there to do? Return to P1999 or wait on EQclassic? This is simply a close feel to old EQ. The majority of the player base has just hit the early 20s, and old EverQuest = grinding til you raid and eventually quitting. No problem with quitting earlier here, and would prolly play...

Boats are automated (no zone crashing into oceanic zones). Not classic, but no hassle.

Rolled a super-safe PLD/CLR combo in Faydwer, and the exp is bearable (at least within hotzones). Maps and initial swimming/sense heading skill swooned me, and having fun with zonewide /ooc (for now, at least. Makes empty zones tolerable).
