Heretic. -tubi https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/1138194-heretic I was debating if this one deserved a bump to its thread here. decided nah. Very solid. tense as hell. lots of suspense. hugh grant is doing a masterclass for sure. girls doing well too. especially glasses. absurd trap house...

part 2. house of darkness. amazon https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/942890-house-of-darkness covid movie? justin long, kate bosworth 2 other girls. like 2 hours of talking talking talking. then 2 minutes of vampires. long carries the movie on his back with acting. but theres just nothing...

A big halloween roundup! Late night with the Devil. -tubi. https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/938614-late-night-with-the-devil not bad. the reviews in the thread here are all pretty accurate. great production, great camera work, etc. more fun than scary. Opening and ending kind of failed...

I googled it. seems the the Castle rock stuff is set on the same litteral earth. the dead Zone, cujo, the body, the dark half, Needful things, Bag of bones, Lisey's story, and pet sematary. Delores Claiborne and Gerald's game also apparently reference events in those books. Derry is its own...

well, there is a book.. with slightly different cannon. now. yes, dark tower references. Originally none of Kings books were directly related. Carrie the book was 1974. Carrie dies in the book. but, the book asserts her grandmother had TK powers, and ends with a girl in Appalachia with...

for the record, when I say souls-like combat. I mean: poise bar? how the game expects you to avoid damage. dodge/parry. relationship of attack/defend patterns. stunlocks, aerials, etc? weakpoints? number of buttons/skills/attacks the game expects you to control moment to moment. potions/estus...

its right on the borderline for me. it is very "souls-like" yes. how bad it is for you, will likely depend on which class types you end up playing. its more soulslike than v-rising. I never put a ton of time into it yet. due to time, and EA. not gameplay. the time I did start...

A ton of DLC was made for it as well. and other game modes. if you played at release, might be worth checking it out again too.

Birch beer is birch sap+birch bark. Sassafras is used for sassparilla the same way. cinnamon is bark. Liquorice is sap+root. other saps are used, but less commonly. yes maple is particularly sweet. especially North American maples, and thats why maple syrup itself wasn't a thing in...

So Penance mentioned the existence of another bloodstained in the Castlevania thread. I somehow missed this being announced... annnounce trailer from 2025. most recent. tokyo 2026. Planned Release Date: 2027 https://playbloodstained.com/ ps5, xbox, steam, epic.

the more I think about this. and those buzzwords. it makes me think Wolverine and starwars outlaws killed bioware. EA saw those games crash and burn, and realizied ME U was the same fucking game.

yeah, thats pretty hilarious. just buzzwords of standard game shit. detective vision, glory kills, etc. the 600 year thing is also hilariously stupid. they have any idea how unrecognizable the ME universe would be in 600 years? Remember Mass effect 1 takes place in 2186. Andromeda also...

yeah. I don't want more of this sadly. acting was fantastic yes. I enjoyed 90% of it.. but that 10% and the ending... anywhere you go from here will be a shitshow.

shame.. I liked s1. I wasn't about to subscribe to netflix.. but would have liked to hear this was good at least.

the rats will just invade new ports.

to be fair, Bioware did it to itself. They are the pioneer and patient zero for, "modern audience", "industry trends say", and get woke, go broke.

starting this now. I've soured on Flanagan a bit the last few projects. (antichristian/woke bullshit creeping in. as well as, just weak stories.) we'll see. I kind of picked up on it on the previous comments, but yeah, this is heavily updated for a modern take. instead of the religious mom...

that stealth system. cool.

I was at 153 hours /played in EA. I was not restarting.

yeah. I don't even have any friends, so just play them solo. also, I won't really be able to jump in and give commentary on 1.0. I'm still finishing up a Wrath of the Righteous playthrough, in act 5 atm. and then I did say I would give Valhielm 1.0 a proper playthrough first.

Reminder. This is tomorrow. They've been releasing videos. 1.0 patch notes. https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1203620/view/687519694976975214 1.0 seems like it will be a pretty big update even from previous. I would call this one of the biggest EA success stories I've ever seen...

Netflix. Greta Gerwig. taking massive liberties.. primed to hate this.. thats a great trailer...

anyway, heres platoons thoughts on Digger if you are curious.

its a complicated thing. there is a big difference between star power, and fame. or even audience draw. "TOM CRUISE is DIGGER" thats star power. every Digger poster says that. (and while it may seem sublte, compared to any other poster with similar sized actor credits. its not.) Christ...

Not enough are talking about the collapse of Tom Cruise here. Just had a discussion prior to Digger that, Cruise is the last Movie Star. the only man in hollywood that can sell tickets on his name and face alone... this, and to a lesser extent, the last mission impossible movies just destroyed...

im not sure how much is Fillion and how much it was James Gunn. Gunn clearly was a big part of the bad bowl cut. he 100% thought it was funny. Why is he Blond, not a red head? no idea.

yes and no. they intentionally made it look retarded. he is a gymteacher. amusingly he is a Liberal arts major, with degrees in pysch and education. hal and guy were the prime candidates for Abin Sur's ring. Hal got it literally just because he was closer at the time. normal hair at...

thats a good point. did we all all just miss that she was just trying to shoot an apple off of Hal's head to prove she wasn't afraid?

Watching Blue Beetle on prime. Glad to see this bombed. its interesting as, its not AWFUL as a movie on its own. so far, its FAR better then Black adam, or shazam 2. But holy fuck is it racist. I wonder how much of its failure was racism and how much was just DC fatigue. Jaime in the...

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh. no. super edgy garth ennis bullshit. 14 yr old boy shit. over the top gory. super edgy, but also like.. not really? its like Eli Roth being edgy. very superficial, and not REALLY dark/edgy. like people that don't know about 40k, dark elder, and chaos shit...

I like reallifefakewizards video on this. it really highlights an issue. some of this is mysterys for future, and some is just nitpicks. but most of it is not. most of it really is plot holes and serious problems with teh storytelling. The mystery and story doesn't make sense. you can not...

see everyone guessed this since episode one. however, no one could have guessed back then Lindsey. all the post partum depression jokes. Pure Cinema. Also, just female cops.

so they made the fact she had a man jaw a feature? lol

yeah, its cope. Everything we have seen as shown the owners and CEO's, etc are all true believers themselves. It always baffled me when people insisted when the owners and guys with money saw what these people were doing to their Ip's that they would hack and slash, or that it was all just...

Game industry needs to fire a LOT of people.

I was wondering why THIS would be ragged on so much, by the leftist shills who have done nothing but double down, and praise the wall to wall propaganda. How is this possibly a bridge too far, when "don't look up" exists and was praised. and shit like mickey 17 exists. Apparently there is a...

The Wolverine x Jean thing is so fucking weird and creepy. I just do not get it. Like imagine there was a Justice league movie... And, Batman was the main character. And Superman dies in the second one. and Batman starts hooking up with Lois Lane. Then, theres a Batman stand alone movie...

Here's Turkey Tom's video on Chris Hansen. there.. is plenty to criticize about the guy.. (although its all pretty tame, nothing crazy.) What's really weird an telling is the focus of this movie. Tom's vid is 1 hour long. "to catch a predator" and the pedo shooting himself is the...

so, show is racist as hell. hates Green lanterns. Guardians aren't Guardians. Hal isn't Hal. John isn't John. Throws out all Green lantern lore and storylines. Only Sinestro is about right. has ugly old women. Weird cuckold fetishes. A stupid nonsensical story. A mystery that also is...
