The 1060 is (rumoredly) going to be 10-15% faster than the 480, will come in 3/6gb variants, will cost $250/300 and will not support sli.

The 480 is basically a 970 with 8gb and slightly cheaper. I am disappoint.

29th June. The $199 price is for the 4gb version of the 480 (knew there had to be a catch), the 8gb one will be $229-239.

200$ for 980 performance would be an amazing deal, but i guess we'll have to wait and see the benchmarks first. They are really attacking the 1070 with that price if true, sure the 480 would be slower but the vfm would be amazing.

Well, there is going to be a 24" TN 1080p 144Hz G-Sync Asus monitor coming out in the next couple of months (PG248q). Will probably be priced below 500 dollars/euros, but...it's not IPS.

So how does it compare with classics like Moo2/GalCiv? I am worried it might be Sins of Solar Empire-level crap.

On the other side of the spectrum, Asus will release a 24" IPS 1440p 144Hz G-Sync ROG Swift sometime later in the year, this should be interesting for people who want a more affordable and not as large version of the 27" model.

Will wait to see first what AMD has to offer, but i am not holding my breath. I like btw how the 1080 requires only a 500w supply, same as the 970.

Switched to an Exile Greatsword and I really like this weapon. Very heavy, but has a nice combination of dmg, reach and stagger without using as much stamina as other big weapons.

Yeah, just checked it, it's not the scholar's candlestick I got, it's the cleric's candlestick (item you can get from the Deacons of the Deep soul) - I guess it can be useful for a sorcery build but I am not going that way.

Best aspect of the Souls games: Boss fights and how they keep you at the edge of your seat. Worst aspect of the Souls games: Itemisation progress, by mid game you are pretty much set up and then it's a matter of mopping up the rest of the content.
