I got a question for you guys, if you absolutely had to be below a certain budget, given the AMD cpu listed above my post is $100 cheaper. Would you get the AMD cpu and spend another 100$ to get a better graphics card? Would it be beneficial at all?

Yea mine scrypt base coins and convert to BTC or LTC. Almost have about $200 built up in ltc/btc this month mining from one r280x. Mining various coins, litecoins, dogecoins, spots. I would have more but the price is down quite a bit from when I started $1k BTC and around $40 LTC.

Yes part of it is modular, the part you see in the screenshot which is the mb connections are directly connected and dont come off (you need these anyway) the rest you plug into the PSU. I have this exact psu and it works great, I don't have a full tower though only a mid size.

Bought a Asus VG248QE 24" monitor last night, impulse buy at frys. Man, its night and day running bf4 at 144hz. So much clearer, smoother. I am running high settings and hit 134fps max. Never dipping below 110fps or so.

Just bought a gaming rig for myself and doing a little litecoin mining. running a single r280x I get 730-750Kh/s. Thinking about getting another r280x to try and double that in the near future. It wont be on 24/7, maybe during the day at work and overnight. Rest of the time I'll be gaming on it.

i5 is more value for the money, I think they are about the same but i7 has hyper threading which isn't useful for games. I would recommend against buying the reference r290x as it has heat/cooling issues. If you are willing to wait get the 3rd party cards when they come out with better cooling.

If you need a GPU right now I would go with a 280x, the 290 and 290x I think they are still on the reference cards that don't have very good coolers. Still a couple of weeks away I imagine before they start releasing non-reference cards.

You've pretty much hit the peak here with that price range. Don't think you can do much more outside of a better graphics card (780ti $200+more) but even then at 1080p gaming wont mean much. Not sure what you run. You can OC that cpu, SLI in another vid card later on down the line for future...

You are right about this. I am dual boxing enchanter/mage and both are currently around 42-43 with only about 4 total hours played. 2 Mercs + mage pet own stuff pretty bad at earlier levels in older zones.

From what I heard Blu's are pretty shitty, anything you can get at a convenient store is going to be like that. You can get a better throat hit and spend less getting some sort of other brand. I would prolly recommend him getting a ego-c twist, relatively cheap if you order it online. Higher...
