Sure but even if it was as bad as for example, if the xp pots or bone chips were duped, it doesn't make sense to despawn the quest NPC to block anyone else that would be using the quest fairly.

That involved an quest NPC and took 10 minutes? I'd have to guess he was turning in thousands of bone chips while using an xp pot, as well as the 50% bonus weekend xp. But it doesn't make sense for them to remove the quest NPC, as all of those things are legit and it blocks everyone else from...

The issue with that is that many or all, of the guilds that are currently in the rotations aren't even able to clear Sky after the changes.

If they were to remove the ability for pets to tank these specific mobs, i.e. hold aggro, I believe it could fix a lot of problems. Pets would still do the same amount of damage but they simply wouldn't get onto the mobs aggro list. It wouldn't change how pets are used for any other encounters...

How are people getting such high Discovery amount on items? I'm only seeing two bands, one that gives +1 and the other that gives +3 or +4. Wearing two can give you like a max +8? What am I overlooking?

Nah, no trick that I'm aware of. I just needed to craft the next pick up and it turned out Orange/Legendary.
