The other interesting part is that the two new classes available to play are the Wizard and Rogue. And that they are struggling with the pet system for the Summoner.

I think their best hope is Amazon. Maybe Smedley gets sentimental about Pantheon being Brad's last game ever. Bezos played EQ1, and has more money than God. New World and the LOTRO micro-transaction MMO they are making are not going to be direct competitors for Pantheon. There's at least a...

They owed us a mea culpa for going dark. Don't reboot your damn game and act like you're not rebooting the game when we call you out on it. That said, it's very obvious they needed to reboot the project, and it's also fairly obvious they are making some progress after doing so. All that being...

Listened to that two hour marathon. Joppa gets it, he says the right stuff, I just have little faith the VR team of two programmers can create the dynamic MMO he envisions. The goal HAS to be to sell out to somebody. There's no chance they can make what he just spent two hours describing...

Nick is the guy from some of the pre-alpha Pantheon videos that were allowed a few years ago. Part of Zaide's guild I believe. Is this a bunch of forum bros getting together to out-Pantheon, Pantheon?

The only thing I got from the round table was the current team thinking the original team was a bunch of dumbasses for the pledge packages they put together. These guys are not happy about being stuck dealing with some of the pay-to-win rewards, and they really aren't happy about the life time...

Oh, for the love of God Convo....you have a budget and money will run out, "no matter how long it takes" is going to go by the wayside real quick if you keep rebooting the game every two years and you keep bleeding programmers. I am glad the newbie experience for the Human race is awesome...

Project Faerthale was a straight up reboot. The third or fourth one now. This "version" of the game has been in development for two years. It's going to be in development until 2025 in a best case scenario. How the hell they have gotten enough funding over the years to continually trash the...

I find it fascinating that Nirgon is taking the Convo career path option. I'm sure they notice. By my calculations, you will be volunteering your time as their top developer quite soon! We expect big things. Big things!

Smedley tipped his hand a bit with this secret Amazon game he's heading up. It's going to be cross platform including phones. It's an MMO. And he's going to finish what he started with EQNext but SOE sucked and didn't have the cash to take insane risks. Name dropped Jeff Bezos giving him the...

Zero percent chance Joppa's BFF wasn't told where and how to get to the "super secret" demo area from last month's sneak peek. This would mean much more if it literally came from any other source on the entire planet. Also, a suboptimal group of level 3 and 4s taking out a rare spawn level 10...

Thanks guys. Working normal for me as well, virus scans not even done yet. Who knows.

Getting some weird stuff with the official website. Front page looks hacked and firefox is telling me the site is compromised. Don't recall seeing that before. Going to run some virus scans on my PC, but anyone else having trouble with the main site?

Well, looks like the shakeout didn't go according to plan. They had to schedule another one for the end of the month. Yikes.

It's weird, and it's 100% on Joppa. He loves Breath of the Wild. He's on record as wanting to make an MMO similar to Breath of the Wild with the climbing, environment effects ,etc... I can see how climbing might be neat if it leads to lots of hidden areas with collectibles and all that crap...

Anyone hear anything on if the PA5 shake out was a success or bust? Crickets so far....

The very last 5 minutes or so of that podcast when they discuss their financial situation and being actively engaged in talks concerning selling the company are extremely interesting.

They wanted to set expectations for what people will be asked to do in their limited playtime for the PA5 Shake Out, which is basically the newbie experience for a few hours. They showed the Human Shaman starting area, the Human Dire Lord obviously started somewhere else. Right now, those are...

Gotta make that MMO money back somehow.

The one thing they potentially do have going for them is that they are partnered to some extent with Unity and Unity will supposedly be handling game security to a large degree. They talked about that at a conference the two companies did together awhile back. Not sure if that's still the...

Its not even a pre-alpha, it's a weekend stress test with just two classes in a very restricted area. Those 1K buy in Pre-Alpha testers get to play (Lag out) for one two hour block and that is it. The real pre-alpha will come some time down the road, and they need to buy some time because they...

Your premise is correct essentially. We know his assets went to his wife and then when she died a month later, most likely everything went to the 22 year old daughter. Somewhere in that time frame, Joppa said VR got the blessing from Brad's family to continue making the game. Hopefully, the...

No idea. General consensus seemed to be that the Pre-Alpha testers thought it had a good EQ1 feel and was on the right path. For whatever reason, Project Faerthale ended up being a reboot, that was two years ago. All classes have been changed to a node based ability system, right now just the...

State of the Game update tonight was basically that they rebooted the entire game sometime in the last year or so and are redoing everything from zones to classes. Right now they have two classes in game (Shaman and Dire Lord) if I understood them correctly. They are also actively removing any...

Or...maybe his wife was losing her battle and he figured his life insurance policy might be the only way to potentially get her better care. Or maybe it was all just a bad accident. Regardless, terrible situation, wish he was still leading up the charge on Pantheon.

Had no idea Brad's wife was dying from cancer and passed a month after he did. Jesus. Wonder what his 22 year old daughter is doing with Visionary Realms, did she sell it off, funding it from life insurance policies, etc?

Nah, this isn't even an MMO. It's basically a co-op game with public events like GW2. I think the end game trials are 12 man. I got it a few months ago, and I enjoy the story lines, have three friends I run all the dungeons with, but for the most part I just play solo and run around. I have...

Good informational stream, EQ1 Shaman complete with Canni confirmed. A little sketchy on the more modern combo system concept. If these guys can ever actually get this game done and launched, it might be decent. Big if though.

Thought the three remaining model reveals were pretty good. I'm kind of getting a little faith restored with this recent reveal push. I like all the things they are doing, I just don't like the pace at which they are doing them. It does seem like things are speeding up a tad now since they...

Who knows when this damn thing will release, if ever, but I have to imagine that if they use Project Faerthale as a demo or even to lead a new kickstarter fund drive, they should get some bites. Zero chance this gets released without significantly more funding, but they do at least appear to...

Sounds like a good value, what is the Collector's Edition?

Still hoping for the best with this game, but that stream was flatout a disaster in my book. It's obvious Cohh isn't practicing the Warrior, so he has no idea what he is doing and it showed as half the stream was him borking the pulls and getting everyone killed. The same exact pull too. The...

Smedley's Amazon MMO project is a new Lord of the Rings game.

I agree that if the company is smart and takes advantage of the emotions and good will surrounding Brad's death, especially if phrased in some form of getting Brad's final game and dream to launch, this tragedy could prove to be a funding bonanza. And I hope they are astute enough to do so with...

I don't think any of the shit said on this forum had much of an impact on Brad's death. He seemed to be at peace with his mistakes and owned up to them in many interviews over the last few years. He also seemed pretty upbeat on the changes he made and how Visionary Realms and Pantheon was...

Hey man, it's been 15 months since we've seen anything relatively new. That logo is some serious progress all things considered.

Ill sum it up. They've decided they are not going to allow multi-boxing.

The guy I said was uncomfortable on camera isn't a programmer though, he's the Director of Promotional Content. He might be the best face on their team as well (lol), so they seem to want him on camera. Regardless, I hope he improves because I am interested in hearing if there is any progress...

Gotta work on your video presence, you're very awkward. Hopefully, we'll see some improvement going forward. I feel like you wouldn't actually disagree with that feedback, though your stalker (Saicred?) clearly does.

Da fuq? Did your parents make you wear a dress and tuck your junk as a kid? What kind of deranged tranny gets offended at the word "uncomfortable"? Regardless, welcome to the forums! This thread needs more white knights for Pantheon. I wish you luck.
